SimuRise partnered with Coca-Cola to deliver a full-day experiential leadership intervention for 45 leaders and managers in Udaipur. The program combined two powerful simulations — The Search for the Lost Dutchman’s Gold Mine and Square Wheels, Round Wheels — creating an immersive journey focused on ownership, decision-making, and self-leadership. Leaders experienced real-world complexity firsthand, reflected on their own behaviours, and gained practical clarity on eliminating inefficiencies and raising collective standards. The result was honest leadership conversations, strong alignment to project goals, and actionable insights ready for immediate on-ground application — proving that lasting behavioural change begins with experience, not instruction.
Introduction
Coca-Cola partnered with SimuRise India to deliver a full-day experiential
leadership intervention for 45 leaders and managers in Udaipur. The
program combined The Search for the Lost Dutchman’s Gold Mine and
Square Wheels, Round Wheels, creating a powerful learning experience
focused on collaboration, decision-making, and leadership effectiveness
through immersive, game-based simulations.
The Challenge
Large-scale projects do not fail due to a lack of strategy, they fail due to gaps in
ownership, execution discipline, and mindset.
Coca-Cola wanted its leaders to:
- Take end-to-end ownership, beyond roles and titles
- Operate with a zero-loss mindset
- Demonstrate a passion for excellence, even under pressure
- Reflect on how to become better versions of themselves as leaders
Solution:
SimuRise designed a full-day experiential learning journey using two powerful
interventions:
1. The Search for the Lost Dutchman’s Gold Mine
A high-impact business simulation that mirrors real-world complexity, unclear
information, competing priorities, limited resources, and time pressure.
The simulation surfaced:
- How leaders take responsibility (or avoid it)
- Decision-making under pressure
- Alignment between intent and execution
- The cost of small losses over time
2. Square Wheels, Round Wheels
Following the simulation, this reflective workshop helped leaders pause and ask:
- What is working today?
- What is causing friction and loss?
- What must change, immediately and sustainably?
This combination ensured that experience led to insight, and insight led to
action.
Key Learning Outcome:
Through immersive participation and structured debriefs, leaders gained clarity
on:
🔹 Ownership & Accountability – Owning outcomes, not just tasks
🔹 Zero-Loss Mindset – Identifying and eliminating hidden inefficiencies
🔹 Passion for Excellence – Raising personal and collective standards
🔹 Self-Leadership – Becoming more aware, intentional, and effective leaders
The real power came from reflection. Leaders recognized their own behaviors
and openly acknowledged what they needed to do differently to deliver a
project of national significance.
Impact:
High engagement across the full day
✅ Honest leadership conversations rooted in real behavior
✅ Clear alignment to Coca-Cola’s project goals
✅ Practical insights leaders could apply immediately on the ground
Participants described the experience as deeply relevant, eye-opening, and
actionable – far beyond traditional leadership training.
